The Crow - OST (1995)

Amazing soundtrack to a mediocre film. My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Jesus And The Mary Chain, NIN. What else needs to be said?

ROME - Nos Chants Perdus (2010)

Incredible martial folk record from Jerome Reuter's long running project. Just as good as Nera and Flowers From Exile if not better.

E.U.C. - The Prey E.P. (2010)

E.U.C. aka Electric Umbilical Cord are California transplants that have been residing in Brooklyn. They play electronic music and have been for 9 years in some form or another. They can be compared to The Cure, Bauhaus, The Chameleons, Death In June etc. But what they really are, are two of the coolest guys I know in the greater NY area playing the most sincere music they can based upon their influences, interests etc and they KILL IT. I can't think of a better time of year to be able to share this with you. Download this immediately and let this become your new fall soundtrack. Go see them live, buy whatever they have for sale.

The Organ - Grab That Gun (2004)

The Organ were a short lived, almost all female group from Vancouver, BC. They broke up at the peak of their buzz but left a solid record behind. Grab That Gun is heavily influenced by The Smiths...no matter how much they claim it isn't. Super Johnny Marrish guitar leads and rhythms, super Mozish vocals (though sang by a woman). It's all there. It even has kind of a dark 90's feel to it at times. Check it out.

Zola Jesus - Stridulum EP (2010)

Madison, Wisconson's Zola Jesus returns with a six song EP containg more of the same gothic, brooding and haunted pop but this time I feel it's more refined. It's a step in the right direction. Give it a listen, eh
